A really tiny print created with the traditional technique of Wood Engraving. This print was carved on English box wood on the 'end grain' and printed using traditional oil based ink on a fine Japanese paper.
I was inspired to create this print by the Starlings that visit my feeder outside my studio window. They make such a noise and argue so much! A sure fire way to get me to stop and look out the window is hearing the Starlings sqwabbling! This little bird looks like it is pearched in the quite after getting to the feeder first and is having a craft look over it's shoulder before trouble arrives.
