Thank you Tricia. I used acrylic paint for the base colour and brushpens for the finer detail on the top. It is more difficult to control the different tones just using brushpens as they contain quite a lot of pigment.
This is a wonderful piece of observation, especially in depicting the texture. Lovely use of shading to show form, lifting the shell off the surface and the highlights give the underside a polished sheen.What medium did you use? Was it the watersoluable pens again?
I am very impressed,George particularly as I have a similar shell and had a few attempts at drawing it and gave up! So well done. Thea
