During this term I earlier explored the chic fashion art style of a fashion artist who caught my eye. That involved exploring brushpen type art as shown in pic 1 of 2 examples. The next pic shows a brief exploration into mixing basic acrylics from primary colours which I also looked at and got some books on acrylics and also oils and water colours to compare these.Early on I also read a very interesting book on modern and contemporary art called pucasso and the Chess Player which comparrd the influences of Pucasdo and Duchamp as key figures..I also read some about Beuys who is seen by some as another key contemporary conceptual and performance Artist...
The examples cited of Andy Goldsworthy and Richard Long also came to interest me with their approaches of artistic walking etc.
Partly for health reasons I also needed to exercise and walk and it was an intriguing development fir me to combine this with art by walking and sketching key points on my walk routes.Sometimes I would do 2 waljs a day with a skwtch each time usually from a bench about 1km or more into my walk..tbecresult has been a number of sketches of a few points on my walks..tres that marked distances or at a roundabput terminus.
I later mafe a subjective collage of things relating to my artistic heslth walks....and the last photo is of hhe collage and some sketches combined.
I also explored making mini videos of moments in my walks and thougjts and songs and poetic notions which i uploaded on tik tok and some on facebook and which i may tryvto add here if i can work out how to...
So it has been an in teresting term..thanks..Andy Elston
I like the info on the various artists you’ve found Andy. I also like the expressive brushstrokes you’ve used for the fashion style subjects.
Sorry for numerous typing errors i hoped to be able to efit and correct..Andy
