If you look at the photo Mark you will notice the reflection of the boats in the water. Then darker horizontal lines of the water to 'anchor' them down.Hope that helps but I'm no expert!Thea
Lovely. It looks just like when we were there. Well yours looks slightly sunnier!I'm not convinced with those boats on the opposite side of the river. The boats are fine, but they just don't sit on the water right.I can take a look and give you some help with that in a few weeks. :-)It's a very pleasing composition.
Yes, Another planning issue! I masked them off as they looked so white and tried to create them with negative space but it just didn’t work 😔The river also is a bit naff. But I was happy with the overall likeness of the scene.
I like the composition and the loose sketchy style. The way you have depicted the grasses and trees is really nicely done Mark. Did you use brushpens or very fine brushes to achieve this?
Hi George,Just a rigger brush.I lost the perspective on this one a bit and I need more practice at painting boats. I really enjoyed the day and meeting everyone!
